Chemistry Revision? – No problem!

Yes – it’s that time of year again. Students and parents are getting stressed about revision as the exams are just around the corner. Everyone’s asking questions like:

  • How many hours?
  • What should you study?
  • What’s the best way to do it?

Not All Study Methods Are Equal

I’ve seen so many students revise for hours and yet get a disappointing mark or grade in the exam. When I’ve looked at their revision technique, it’s usually because they’ve been using methods that just don’t work. Such a shame to waste all that time on something that’s so ineffective.

There is a lot of content to cover in the National 5 and Higher Chemistry courses. So, the best revision techniques can get overlooked sometimes. Also, I have to say, students like ‘lazy studying’. By that I mean rewriting notes or highlighting – it keeps them busy, but is not actually effective at helping them revise. The students, however, feel they’ve done a load of work!

I feel it’s important to know how to study before you even look at what you have to study. In order to do that, you might need some information on which are the leading revision methods to use. Fortunately, that’s exactly what I’m doing in a webinar!
